Obituary for Eldress Marian Elizabeth Green (Hawkins)
Eldress Marion Elizabeth Hawkins Green, 65 of 412 Evergreen Drive, Winterville NC, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Vidant Medical Center.
It is with heavy hearts, we would like to share the news of the passing of Rep. Hawkins’ dear mother Marian Hawkins Green. Mrs. Green passed away peacefully at the age of 65 on February 10, 2022 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, N.C.
A Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Zion Chapel United FWB Church in Ayden, N.C. (377 Planters Street) at 12 p.m. Viewing will begin at 11 a.m.
Flowers and condolences can be sent to Blake Phillips Funeral Home (103 Raleigh St, Greenville, NC 27834).
In lieu of cash, the family is asking that gifts be made to the Elizabeth City State University School of Education and Business by visiting vikingsforward.ecsu.edu/project/28456/donate
and selecting “In Memory of” and typing in Marian Hawkins Green. Checks can be made payable to the ECSU Foundation with Hawkins/Education and Business Fund in the memo section.
The family will receive visitors on February 16–19 from 5–9 p.m. at 655 Carrington Lane, Winterville, N.C. 28590.
